Arrival
Arriving in Iceland, participants must make their way to Reykjavík from Keflavík

We will be departing by bus from Reykjavík from Klifurhúsið , Ármúla 23, 108
Reykjavík, on Sunday the 25.6 driving east to Hnappavellir, the main climbing
area. Scheduled departure is at 16.00 . The drive to Hnappavellir is a beautiful
6-? hours drive along the south coast of Iceland, passing waterfalls and the great
black sands amongst other noteworthy sights.
During our stay at Hnappavellir we will be staying in a tent camp. Iceland will
provide tents for all the teams and a large kitchen tent. Everyone needs to bring
a sleeping bag etc. As the camp is not far away from the Vatnajökull glacier, it
can be cold in the evenings and during the day and at times windy. Therefore
bring warm clothes, rain clothes, hats and gloves. There are no showers at
Hnappavellir, a trip to a swimming pool is scheduled during the trip.
